What Are Dental Crowns and Bridges?
We will place a crown on a tooth that has chipped or broken or one that has had root canal therapy. A crown can extend a tooth’s life for many years by protecting it from stress or damage. Crowns help us beautify a damaged smile, too.
Bridges are a fast and economical way to replace a missing tooth. With the right care, a bridge can last many years.
We take great care to match the color and shape of your crown or bridge to your natural teeth. If you’re missing a tooth or two or you have a tooth that needs a crown, please call us so we can give you the care you need.
Are Dental Crowns and Bridges right for me?
“>Both crowns and bridges are used to restore damaged teeth. However, they are used in different ways. A dental crown is used when a person has a single damaged tooth. The crown fits over the entire tooth and is used to restore the tooth’s shape, size, and appearance.
On the other hand, a dental bridge is used to replace one or more missing teeth. The bridge, which is referred to as a “fixed bridge” because the prosthetic teeth are not removable, is anchored to the teeth on either side of the gap.
Both these restorations are quite simple and long-lasting.
Dental Crowns
Dental crowns are a type of restoration which completely covers a tooth. They are often used to restore a tooth that has been damaged by decay or injury. Crowns can also be used for cosmetic purposes, to change the shape or color of teeth.
Our high-quality crowns are designed to enhance your smile and blend in perfectly with your natural teeth. And if you need a root canal prior to getting your crowns, we can do that too!
Dental Bridges
“>Bridges are another type of restoration used to replace missing teeth. A bridge is made up of two crowns, which are placed on the teeth adjacent to the gap left by the missing tooth. In between these crowns is an artificial tooth that is held securely in place. With your custom-made bridge, we can restore your smile’s beauty and function.
